NHS 2023 Project
In early 2023 I was commissioned by NHS argyll and Bute to help produce their newest version of The Children & Young Person’s Service Plan. I have worked on these previously so was familiar with the requirements. However there were some additions, with some new illustrations added. Also this year there was legislation passed regarding accessibility. So as an extra task I had to work hard to ensure the document was passed all suitable accessability requirements. This work was done using Adobe InDesign, with Photoshop and Illustrator used for the graphics. You can view the Children and Young Peoples Service plan here
As well as the CYPSP book, I produced a “One page” graphic. This was intended to be used as a large scale poster and highlight the different aspects of the service. This involved several individual illustrations, put together to form one main image.
Along with these two pieces of work I also worked with staff and young people to produce a 3 minute long animated video covering some of the questions young people may have about the service. This involved all aspects of the animation workflow, from scriptwriting to storyboarding and audio recording. (Of which the young people provided the voiceovers). The scene resembles the promenade Bute and had various callouts to the area.
I used Photoshop to design the characters and from this made up character “puppets”. I then used Character Animator to lip sync the performances and animate the characters. They were then brought into After effects to composite with a 3d background i modeled in Cinema4D. Finally bringing it all together in Premiere and adding things like sound design and other post actions.
